PathumThani Immigration Office now offers a new Electronic Temporary Stay Extension (E-Extension) service. This service is specifically designed for students enrolled in government educational institutions. The E-Extension system allows applicants to submit their extension requests and pay the required fees online, which include a visa extension fee of 1,900 THB and an E-service fee.
1. Request a Cover Letter
SIIT students must follow the same procedure to request a visa extension cover letter:
Full-time students: Visa Extension for Full-time Students
Exchange students: Visa Extension for Exchange/External Students
2. Collect Your Cover Letter
Once your cover letter is ready, you can collect it from IA&CR.
3. Register and Submit Online (This is where the E-Extension procedure begins.)
Register, submit your documents, and receive approval responses online. Detailed instructions are provided in the attached document.
4. Receive the Extension Stamp
After receiving approval, visit the PathumThani Immigration Office (front building) to have your stay extension stamped. Please also bring all the required original documents to the immigration office to
receive the extension stamped.
Remarks:
1. The E-Extension service requires an additional fee of 500, 1,500, or 5,000 Baht, depending on the case.
2. This service is optional for students. It is especially convenient for those who wish to avoid long queues at the Immigration Office during peak periods in March and October. Once your visa extension is approved, you will only need to visit the office for the stamping process.
