The courses you list on the application form are not a confirmation of enrollment. SIIT only uses them to understand your study plan and academic focus.
Your study plan helps us decide which program you will be placed in at SIIT. For example, if you would like to join the Management Technology (MT) program and plan to take mostly MT courses, you should list MT courses as your top choices in the application form. This will increase your chances of being assigned to the MT program and registering for MT courses.
Some programs — such as Digital Engineering (DE), Computer Engineering (CPE), and Management Technology (MT) — are highly competitive. If you wish to take courses in these programs, you should clearly prioritize them in your application.
Please note that when the official course registration period opens (approximately 2 weeks before arrival), it may not be possible to enroll in all the courses listed in your application. This could be due to schedule conflicts, class capacity limits, or program priority rules. In some cases, certain programs may give priority to their own students. For example, students assigned to the MT program will have a better chance of enrolling in MT courses.
Although the courses listed in your application are not guaranteed, your final registered courses should generally follow the same academic direction as your original study plan. For instance, if most of the courses in your application are from the DE program, your final registered courses should also mainly be DE courses.
If the final course selection differs significantly from the original study plan, the department may review and possibly not approve the registration.
Therefore, please carefully consider your academic focus when completing the application form. Your study plan does not confirm enrollment, but it does affect your program placement and future course registration.
