Remark: If your internship period overlaps two semesters (e.g., December – February), please follow the deadline corresponding to your starting internship.
For example, December – February follows the August – December deadline.
STEP 1: Please fill out the Google Form: https://forms.gle/bw68YFkqNFMHH9os7
Please submit the following documents to the form:
1. Resume
2. Academic Transcript
3. Statement of Purpose
Remark: You can choose only 1 potential advisor. You are not required to directly contact the advisor by email. After submitting the Google Form, please wait for the result announcement. There is no need to take any further action or contact the advisor until the results are announced.
All applications will be reviewed simultaneously by the selected advisors, and the results will be announced on March 31 or August 31, depending on the application round.
STEP 2: Once you have been accepted by SIIT advisor, please contact your home university for an official nomination and application process:
1) Your home university officially nominates you. (Please note that nomination by your home university is treated as a regular exchange student nomination.)
2) You submit your application. More information about application form will be sent to you after nomination.
You are considered an exchange student.
You must register for at least one audit course recommended by your advisor at SIIT. This involves attending classes without examinations.
Please note that the course registration period takes place at the beginning of each semester and follows a fixed registration schedule. Therefore, regardless of your internship start date, SIIT will complete the course registration for you in advance according to the official registration period.
If you spend a full semester (5 months) at SIIT while doing an internship, you may enroll in regular exchange courses, attend classes, and take examinations. Enrolling in a full-semester course allows you to earn credits from SIIT.
You will receive a student card. A certificate of completion and a transcript (without grade or credit) will be issued. However, if you enroll in courses for a full semester, you will receive a transcript with grades and credits.
