Your internship period
Before applying, ensure your internship does not clash with your home university's class schedule or exams. Once submitted, your internship period may be fixed.
Note that SIIT semester breaks in June, July, and December have fewer students present.
This program is designed as a short-term internship (1–2 months). If you wish to undertake an internship longer than 2 months, you may indicate your proposed duration in the application form for the supervisor’s consideration. However, if you are awarded a scholarship, please note that the funding will cover a maximum of 2 months only.
Your transcript of record
The transcript must be in English, detailing all courses since your first university semester.
Graduate students must include their bachelor's degree transcript.
On the application form, please input your cumulative GPA using the format: your CGPA/maximum possible grade. For example, enter 3.45/4.00, where 3.45 is your cumulative GPA and 4.00 represents the highest possible grade.
If your grading system differs from SIIT's, please provide an explanation or relevant documentation.
Recommendation Letter
Recommendation letters must be valid for 6 months, with the issue date clearly shown.
At least one letter must be from an academic instructor/advisor.
Passport
You may submit an expired passport, but a valid passport is required upon official acceptance.
If you do not have a passport, indicate this in the personal information section of the application form, but remember a valid passport is required upon official acceptance.
Information Session
You are welcome to attend the online information session about the STIP on April 1, 2026.
