UVOD:
Ja sam Tatjana Pešić Ilijaš, diplomirana učiteljica razredne nastave i već 37 godina radim u Osnovnoj školi Pantovčak. Razrednica sam učenicima od 1. do 4. razreda i predajem predmete: Hrvatski jezik, Matematika, Priroda i društvo, Likovna kultura, Glazbena kultura te Tjelesna i zdravstvena kultura. Uz redovan nastavni rad kao izvannastavnu aktivnost vodim i Dramsku grupu te s učenicima pripremam nastupe za školske i razredne priredbe.
Svake školske godine pišem Kurikulum koji nastojim obogatiti sadržajima i ishodima kako bih tijekom školske godine što kvalitetnije i uspješnije motivirala učenike za rad i aktivno sudjelovanje u nastavnom procesu i svim planiranim nastavnim i izvannastavnim aktivnostima. Isto tako, tijekom mobilnosti u europskim projektima, na nastavu mi dolaze kolege iz drugih škola te mi je iskustvo prisustvovanja nastavi u drugom obrazovnom okruženju itekako korisno. Stoga sam se, u sklopu ovog projekta, prijavila za job shadowing u 7. osnovnoj školi Keretsini u Grčkoj kako bih došla do novih spoznaja i vidjela primjere dobre prakse koji se odvijaju u osnovnoj školi.
Ishodi:
- Steći nova iskustva u osposobljavanju razumijevanju, prepoznavanju i prevenciji nasilničkog ponašanja.
- Razviti učinkovite komunikacijske vještine u ulozi medijatora u slučajevima nasilja među učenicima.
- Razviti vještinu integracije zelenog poduzetništva u nastavni plan i program te spoznati učinkovite metode poučavanja.
- Razviti sposobnost osmišljavanja i provedbe projekata održivosti i poduzetništva.
- Razviti svijest o kulturnim nijansama u međunarodnom obrazovnom okruženju te sposobnost razumijevanja i poštivanja kulturne raznolikosti.
JOB SHADOWING – 7TH PRIMARY SCHOOL KERETSINI, GREECE

INTRODUCTION:
I am Tatjana Pešić Ilijaš, a graduate classroom teacher and I have been working at the Pantovčak Elementary School for 37 years. I am a teacher of students from 1st to 4th grade and I teach the following subjects: Croatian language, Mathematics, Nature and society, Art culture, Music culture and Physical and health culture. In addition to regular teaching work, as an extracurricular activity I lead the Drama Group and prepare performances for school and class events with the students.
Every school year, I write a Curriculum that tries to enrich it with content and outcomes in order to motivate students to work better and more successfully during the school year and actively participate in the teaching process and all planned teaching and extracurricular activities. Likewise, during mobility in European projects, colleagues from other schools come to my classes, and the experience of attending classes in a different educational environment is very useful for me. Therefore, as part of this project, I applied for job shadowing at the 7th elementary school of Keretsini in Greece to gain new knowledge and see examples of good practice that take place in elementary schools.
Outcomes:
- Gain new experiences in training for understanding, recognition and prevention of violent behavior.
- Develop effective communication skills in the role of mediator in cases of violence among students.
- Develop the skill of green integration of entrepreneurship in the curriculum and learn about effective teaching methods.
- Develop the ability to design and implement sustainability and entrepreneurship projects.
- Develop awareness of cultural nuances in the international educational environment and the ability to understand and respect cultural diversity.
1. Dan – Ponedjeljak, 19.2.2024.
Prvi dan u osnovnoj školi Keretsini započeo je u 9 h i dobrodošlicom koju su mi uputili ravnateljica škole Angelike Daniiloglou i moj domaćin učitelj Simos Tsamkosoglou. Upoznala sam i ostale kolege te smo se srdačno predstavili jedni drugima i pozdravili. Svi su mi zaželjeli ugodan boravak u školi. Ravnateljica me je provela kroz prostorije škole i upoznala s dnevnim rasporedom. S ravnateljicom sam razgovarala o njihovim školskim pravilima u slučaju nasilja među djecom. Izmijenile smo iskustva i primjere kakav je protokol u takvim slučajevima. Taj sam dan provela u 6. razredu koji vodi moj mentor Simos i prisustvovala satu povijesti i matematike. Upoznala sam razredni odjel koji broji 20 učenika. Jedna učenica ima asistenta u nastavi te je integrirana u razredni odjel s prilagodbom sadržaja. Promatrajući nastavu uočila sam kako učenici aktivno sudjeluju u nastavi, a s učiteljem komuniciraju s povjerenjem i vidljivo je da često razgovaraju o svim temama. U povezivanju sadržaja, učenici iznose i vlastita iskustva i uspoređuju, a učitelj ih i potiče u takvoj komunikaciji, s naglaskom na stvaranje kohezije u razrednom odjelu, naglašavanjem pravila ponašanja prema vršnjacima i odraslima.
Toga sam dana upoznala i školsku psihologinju koja me je uputila kako je koncipirala rad s učenicima i s roditeljima. Razgovarale smo o školi i koja iskustva imaju u radu s učenicima sklonim neprimjerenom ponašanju. Psihologinja redovito radi s takvim učenicima, dogovara s njima plan kako se pridržavati pravila te s tim planom upoznaje i roditelje kako bi se i kod kuće provodila ta pravila, a roditelji bili dosljedni.
1. Day – Monday, 19.2.2024.
The first day at Keretsini Elementary School began at 9 a.m. with a welcome from the school principal Angelike Daniiloglou and my host teacher Simos Tsamkosoglou. I also met other colleagues and we cordially introduced ourselves to each other and greeted each other. Everyone wished me a pleasant stay at school. The principal took me through the school premises and introduced me to the daily schedule. I talked with the principal about their school rules in the case of violence between children. We have changed experiences and examples of what the protocol is in such cases. I spent that day in the 6th grade led by my mentor Simos and attended the history and mathematics class. I got to know the class department, which has 20 students. One student has a teaching assistant and is integrated into the class department with content adaptation. Observing the classes, I noticed that the students actively participate in the classes, and they communicate with the teacher with confidence, and it is evident that they often discuss all topics. In connecting the contents, the students present their own experiences and compare them, and the teacher encourages them in such communication, with an emphasis on creating cohesion in the classroom, emphasizing the rules of behavior towards peers and adults.
On that day, I also met the school psychologist, who instructed me on how she conceptualized work with students and parents. We talked about the school and what experiences they have in working with students prone to inappropriate behavior. The psychologist regularly works with such students, agrees with them a plan on how to comply with the rules, and introduces the plan to the parents so that these rules are implemented at home and the parents are consistent.
2. Dan – Utorak, 20.2.2024.
Drugi sam radni dan započela u informatičkoj učionici i s učiteljem informatike i učenicima 4. razreda prisustvovala predavanju i radionici o nasilju na internetu. Učenici su nakon razgovora i upoznavanja teme, kroz interaktivne video igre učili o pravilima ponašanja korištenja interneta kao i opasnostima kojima su izloženi. Učili su kako se postaviti u takvoj situaciji, kome se obratiti i kako se zaštiti u slučaju neprimjerenog ponašanja vršnjaka na društvenim mrežama. Vidljivo je da su učenici aktivni tijekom razgovora, iznose vlastita iskustva i svoje stavove.
Nakon toga prisustvovala sam satu koji je, s učenicima, održala školska psihologinja. Bila je to radionica kako prepoznati emocije i nositi se s njima. Učenici su prepoznali niz različitih emocija, naučili ih razlikovati te razgovarali o tome kako ih iskazati, a one negativne kako kontrolirati.
Nakon sata sam se zadržala u razgovoru s psihologinjom koja mi je iznijela svoja iskustva u radu s djecom i koje su aktivnosti najbolje prihvaćene od strane učenika. Pritom sam i ja iznijela svoja iskustva te na koji način obrađujem istu temu o emocijama. Naglasila sam kako je provodim sve četiri godine koliko sam razrednica učenicima, a aktivnosti prilagođavam dobi učenika.
2. Day – Tuesday, 20.2.2024.
I started the second working day in the IT classroom and attended a lecture and workshop about violence on the Internet with the IT teacher and 4th grade students. After talking and getting to know the topic, the students learned through interactive video games about the rules of behavior when using the Internet as well as the dangers they are exposed to. They learned how to position themselves in such a situation, who to turn to and how to protect themselves in case of inappropriate behavior of their peers on social networks. It is visible that the students are active during the conversation, they present their own experiences and their views.
After that, I attended a class held by the school psychologist with the students. It was a workshop on how to recognize emotions and deal with them. The students recognized a number of different emotions, learned to distinguish them and talked about how to express them, and how to control the negative ones.
After the lesson, I stayed in conversation with the psychologist, who told me about her experiences in working with children and which activities were best accepted by the students. At the same time, I also presented my experiences and how I deal with the same topic about emotions. I emphasized that I have been spending it all four years that I have been a classroom teacher, and I adapt the activities to the age of the students.
3. Dan – Srijeda, 21.2.2024.
Treći dan mog boravka u školi, prisustvovala sam radionici u 4. razredu, na temu zeleno poduzetništvo. U školi su mi pokazali kako već cijeli mjesec obrađuju tu temu te je svaki razredni odjel pridonio svojim praktičnim radom. Bili su to plakati, modeli, makete te niz informacija i saznanja koja su učenici stekli proučavajući temu o okolišu i zelenom poduzetništvu. Upoznali su me kako održavaju sajam tijekom godine na kojem prodaju svoje proizvode koje sami izrađuju. Tako sam prisustvovala radionici izrade sapuna od prirodnih sastojaka, na održiv način. Učenici su samostalno izrađivali svoje sapune, birali boju i miris te sudjelovali u cjelokupnom procesu. Naravno, rado sam im se pridružila.
Zatim sam u 2. razredu prisustvovala radionici o prevenciji nasilja. Učenici su mi pokazali razredna pravila koja su sami osmislili, dogovorili i napisali. Kroz zajedničke igre s pjevanjem i plesanjem pokazali su mi kako rade na zajedništvu. Učenici su bili uigrani, aktivni i vidljivo je kako vlada ugodno razredno ozračje.
3. Day – Wednesday, 21.2.2024.
On the third day of my stay at school, I attended a workshop in the 4th grade on the topic of green entrepreneurship. At school, they showed me how they have been working on this topic for a whole month, and each class contributed their practical work. These were posters, models, mock-ups and a series of information and knowledge that the students acquired while studying the topic of the environment and green entrepreneurship. They introduced me to how they hold a fair during the year where they sell their products that they make themselves. So I attended a workshop on making soap from natural ingredients, in a sustainable way. The students made their own soaps, chose the color and scent, and participated in the entire process. Of course, I was happy to join them.
Then, in the 2nd grade, I attended a workshop on violence prevention. The students showed me the class rules that they designed, agreed and wrote themselves. Through joint games with singing and dancing, they showed me how they work together. The students were well-coordinated, active and it is evident that there is a pleasant class atmosphere.
4. Dan – Četvrtak, 22.2.2024.
Četvrti sam dan provela na ekskurziji s učiteljem Simosom Tsamkosoglousom i njegovim 6. razredom, u pratnji i asistentice. Posjetili smo Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) u Parku Kallithea (u prijevodu „prekrasan pogled“). Upoznali smo bogatu bioraznolikost parka. Na području parka zasađene su masline, rogač, lovor, čempresi te brojne autohtone grčke aromatične biljke. Travnjak koji se prostire u središtu parka zasađen je travom koja je otporna na sušu, te je potrebno manje navodnjavanja. Vidljivi su radovi u Parku kojima se i dalje gradi i poboljšava infrastruktura, a sve je projektirano na održiv i ekološki prihvatljiv način. Prostor je organiziran za posjete građana, a posebno za školsku djecu koja tamo mogu provesti integrirani nastavni dan i educirati se o ekologiji i održivom razvoju, upoznati sustav navodnjavanja, ali i primjere štednje vode.
Stavros Centar je i mjesto gdje se odvijaju kulturna događanja kao što su koncerti, predstave i izložbe jer u sklopu centra su i zgrada opere, plesna dvorana, galerije i kazalište.
Cilj našeg posjeta bio je i odlazak u Nacionalnu knjižnicu u kojoj su učenici imali sat povijesti na vrlo interaktivan način, uključujući digitalne sadržaje i alate. Tema je bila Grčka revolucija i rat za neovisnost iz 1821. godine. Za Grčku je to iznimno važan događaj jer se 25. ožujka slavi Dan državnosti. Učenici su učili kriptografiju, tajne šifre koje su vojnici koristili u tom ratu, a potom istraživali činjenice te pronalazili sakrivene dokumente koji su na kraju ispričali cijelu priču o Grčkom ratu za neovisnost. Vrlo zanimljiv i edukativan dan za učenike.
4. Day – Thursday, 22.2.2024.
I spent the fourth day on an excursion with teacher Simos Tsamkosoglous and his 6th grade, accompanied by an assistant. We visited the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) in Kallithea Park (translated as "beautiful view"). We got to know the park's rich biodiversity. Olives, carob, laurel, cypresses and numerous autochthonous Greek aromatic plants are planted in the park area. The lawn in the center of the park is planted with drought-resistant grass, requiring less irrigation. You can see the works in the Park, which continue to build and improve the infrastructure, and everything is designed in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. The space is organized for visits by citizens, and especially for school children, who can spend an integrated teaching day there and learn about ecology and sustainable development, get to know the irrigation system, and examples of water saving.
Stavros Center is also a place where cultural events such as concerts, plays and exhibitions take place because the center also includes an opera house, a dance hall, galleries and a theater.
The goal of our visit was also to go to the National Library, where the students had a history lesson in a very interactive way, including digital content and tools. The topic was the Greek Revolution and the War of Independence of 1821. It is an extremely important event for Greece, because March 25 is the National Day. The students learned cryptography, the secret codes that soldiers used in that war, and then researched the facts and found hidden documents that eventually told the whole story of the Greek War for Independence. A very interesting and educational day for students.
5. Dan – Petak, 23.2.2024.
Posljednji dan u osnovnoj školi Keretsini provela sam u razgovoru s ravnateljicom škole Angelikom Daniiloglou u kojem smo se osvrnule na moj boravak u školi te izmijenile iskustva o dugogodišnjem nastavničkom radu. Provela me je kroz još nekoliko razrednih odjela u kojem sam upoznala učenike te s njima provela dvije aktivnosti – igre upoznavanja te igru u kojoj pokazuju, što pravilnije, jedan drugome pokrete. Dio je to mog iskustva u radu s djecom na Satovima razrednika na kojem je cilj aktivnosti da kroz igru razvijaju vještinu komunikacije kao prevencije nasilničkog ponašanja. Ravnateljica me je upoznala sa svojim pristupom u komunikaciji s učenicima. Istaknula je kako motivira učenike na što primjerenije ponašanje i uspjeh u učenju. Dogovorila je s učiteljima pojedinih razrednih odjela, da nakon što nekoliko puta uspješno naprave svoj rad, tog učenika uputi k njoj i tada dobivaju i pohvalu od ravnateljice što im je veliki podstrek za daljnji rad. Pokazala mi je primjerak pisane pohvalnice.
Na kraju radnog dana pozdravila sam se s kolegama i ravnateljicom škole te zahvalila na gostoprimstvu i vrlo uspješnom radnom tjednu koji sam provela u njihovoj školi te izrazila nadu za daljnjom suradnjom na nekom novom projektu.
5. Day – Friday, 23.2.2024.
I spent the last day at the Keretsini elementary school in a conversation with the principal Angelika Daniilogla, in which we looked back on my stay at the school and exchanged experiences about many years of teaching work. She took me through several more classes where I got to know the students and spent two activities with them - introduction games and a game in which they show each other movements as correctly as possible. This is part of my experience in working with children at Class Teacher Classes, where the goal of the activity is to develop communication skills through play as a prevention of violent behavior. The principal introduced me to her approach to communication with students. She pointed out how she motivates students to the most appropriate behavior and success in learning. She agreed with the teachers of individual classes that after they have successfully done their work several times, they refer that student to her and then they also receive praise from the principal, which is a great incentive for their further work. She showed me a copy of the written letter of commendation.
At the end of the working day, I said goodbye to my colleagues and the school principal and thanked them for their hospitality and the very successful working week I spent at their school, and expressed my hope for further cooperation on a new project.

DETALJAN OPIS AKTIVNOSTI:
Sa stručnjacima iz Hrvatskog prirodoslovnog muzeja dogovorili smo suradnju te smo u obližnjem parku pored naše škole imali predavanje i radionicu „Botanika za prvašiće“ koju su održali prirodoslovci dr. sc. Renata Brezinščak i dr. sc. Igor Boršić. Na taj smo se način, kroz aktivnosti, povezali s muzejom koji je dio naše lokalne zajednice i ostvarili plan i program našeg kurikuluma o zelenom poduzetništvu te zaštiti okoliša. Učenici su, nakon upoznavanja i predavanja o karakteristikama biljnog svijeta parka, imali priliku sudjelovati u praktičnim aktivnostima. U grupama su dobili zadatke pronalaziti te proučiti navedene biljke. Svaka je grupa nakon svojeg istraživanja, uz prirodoslovce naučila njihove nazive te primjenu i koja su ljekovita svojstva pojedine biljke. Na kraju istraživanja i proučavanja, svaka je grupa napravila svoj herbarij od prikupljenih biljaka te ih imenovala. Sastavljen je i plan zaštite biljaka.
Dogovorena je i daljnja suradnja s Hrvatskim prirodoslovnim muzejom u idućoj školskoj godini s ciljem poticanja svijesti o zaštiti prirodnog okoliša.
Suradnja učenika 1. razreda Osnovne škole Pantovčak i Hrvatskog prirodoslovnog muzeja zabilježena je i objavom na Facebook stranici Škole.

- Students will make an herbarium of the most widespread plants and make a plan for their protection
- Developing research skills - observation, observations, distinguishing between the flora of the park
- Cooperation with experts from the Croatian Natural History Museum
- Students will connect with the local community institution through joint activities
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:
We agreed to cooperate with experts from the Croatian Museum of Natural History, and in a nearby park next to our school, we had a lecture and workshop "Botany for first-year students" held by naturalists Ph.D. Renata Brezinščak and Ph.D. Igor Boršić. In this way, through activities, we connected with the museum that is part of our local community and realized the plan and program of our curriculum on green entrepreneurship and environmental protection. After an introduction and lecture on the characteristics of the park's flora, the students had the opportunity to participate in practical activities. In groups, they were given tasks to find and study the mentioned plants. After their research, each group, together with the naturalists, learned their names and uses, as well as the medicinal properties of each plant. At the end of the research and study, each group made their own herbarium from the collected plants and named them. A plant protection plan was drawn up.
Further cooperation with the Croatian Museum of Natural History in the next school year was also agreed with the aim of encouraging awareness of the protection of the natural environment.

DETALJAN OPIS AKTIVNOSTI:
Učenici su podijeljeni u 5 timova i dobili su listić s temom i uputama za istraživački rad (listić je u prilogu). Učenike sam uputila i kako sudjelovati i rasporediti rad u grupi s obzirom na to da su prvi razred i to im je prvo iskustvo takvog načina rada.
Svaki tim prvo dogovara i dijeli uloge, a zatim prema uputama osmišljavaju kako će izgledati predložak njihovog rada koji će na kraju prezentirati. Na velikom hameru raspoređuju kako će oblikovati tekst i ostale sadržaje vezane za zadatke.
Ova se aktivnost provodila tjedan dana, svaki dan su radili dijelove zadataka i oblikovali konačan rad. Na kraju tjedna je bila prezentacija svih radova.

- Influence the development of responsible behavior towards the environment and nature
- Students will learn the important date that marks Earth Day
- Students will develop communication skills in finding common solutions and develop collaborative relationships among peers.
- Developing research skills – finding, studying, comparing
- Creating a pleasant atmosphere and developing the skills of working and negotiating in teamwork.
- Through cooperation, the students will achieve the tasks set for the research work on the topic of green entrepreneurship
- Presentation of ideas and solutions and planned activities on a given topic.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES:
The students were divided into 5 teams and were given a sheet with the topic and instructions for the research work (the sheet is attached). I also instructed the students how to participate and distribute the work in a group, considering that they are in the first grade, and this is their first experience of such a way of working.
Each team first agrees and shares roles, and then, according to the instructions, they design what the template of their work will look like, which they will present at the end. On the big hammer, they arrange how they will shape the text and other content related to the tasks.
This activity was carried out for a week, every day they worked on parts of the tasks and shaped the final work. At the end of the week, there was a presentation of all works.
