We do not yet have an Android or IOS app designed for creating and tracking One Sun characters. However, it is relatively simple to adapt an app originally designed for another system to track your One Sun character. The app we currently use was made for a popular table-top RPG system and works for One Sun by following the steps below.
Step 1: Download Fight Club
Fight Club 5 is a free app available on both Android and IOS. You can only have 1 character on the app, unless you upgrade to the full version as a one time purchase (the cost is minor, but only necessary if you want multiple characters at a time).
Note: Even without the upgrade, you can Export characters and Import them again when you want to switch back.
Step 2: Import Features
Now that you have the app installed, you will need to download the Features and Character Template onto your device. Click on the button below labeled "Features", then save the file labeled "One Sun Features" to Files on your device. Next open Fight Club 5 and tap the book icon marked as "Compendium" in the image above.
Once the Compendium is open, tap the downward arrow icon marked as "Import" in the image above. Then tap "Select File" and navigate to the place you saved One Sun Features on your device and select it. This will import all current General Features and General Weaknesses in the game.
Step 3: Import Character Template
To import the Character Template, use the button labeled "Character Template" below to save the file named "Template Character" to files on your device (same as in the previous step). Instead of opening the Compendium, tap the words "Create New" at the bottom of the screen, then tap "Load" followed by "Select File" and navigate to the place you saved Template Character on your device and select it.
This will add a character named "[character name]", which can be edited to represent any creature in One Sun.
Step 4: Using The App
Because the app was designed for a different (and more convoluted) table-top RPG, much of the app is not used for a One Sun character. Only the left-most, center and right-most pages are used (see above). Even on those pages, the sections marked as "Not Used" in the images above can be entirely ignored.
The left-most page contains your Ability Scores, Ability Checks, Total Feature Points and Luck. The central page contains the instructions for adding Features and is the page where your Features will be listed. The right-most page contains the Core Rules of the game for convenient reference and a place to record Damage Conditions (along with any other notes about the character).
Step 5: Editing Ability Scores
The Character Template has average Ability Scores, meaning Kick Ass, Bad Ass and Smart Ass are all 3. To increase or decrease any of your Ability Scores, tap the three lines in the upper right marked as "Edit" above. Then, tap "Edit Character", as shown in the middle image above.
Scroll down to Ability Scores, as shown in the right-most image above. To change your Kick Ass, increase or decrease "Strength" by 2 for every 1 you want to change your Kick Ass. To change your Bad Ass, increase or decrease "Dexterity" by 2 for every 1 you want to change your Bad Ass. To change your Smart Ass, increase or decrease "Charisma" by 2 for every 1 you want to change your Smart Ass.
When you have changed your Ability Scores as desired, tap "Done" in the upper right corner.
Step 6: Editing Trackers
To edit the other information on the left-most page, tap the three lines in the upper right corner and "Edit Character". Then, go to the page between the left-most and central page. The "Trackers" can be edited or added to in order to further customize your character.
