Base Features (0 FP)
Nanites (10 FP): The Host are conscious nanites puppeteering macro bodies for their use. Unless their entire body is destroyed utterly, they are immune to the Death Damage Condition.
Assimilation (2 FP): A Host can use their bodily fluids as an infectious weapon, allowing them to give the Host Infestation Damage Condition during combat. This is only possible if their Combat Kick Ass is greater than the Combat Bad Ass of the target’s side and there is a reasonable way to transfer fluids.
A creature with the Host Infestation Damage Condition must make an Immune Check (1d12 + Bad Ass) every full rest. The DC is based on the Host (6 + Kick Ass). If the creature succeeds, it is unaffected.
If it fails, its functional Bad Ass is reduced by 1, until it loses Host Infestation. If it rolls 6 higher than needed to pass the Immune Check, it loses Host Infestation.
Any creature with Host Infestation whose functional Bad Ass reaches zero loses Host Infestation and gains all base Features of the Host clan.
Greater Intelligence (2 FP): When a Host gives a creature the Host Infestation Damage Condition, they may choose to take the creature’s body for themselves. This decision must be made when the creature gains Host Infestation.
If the creature’s functional Bad Ass would be reduced to zero, it dies rather than gain the Host clan. Instead of dying with the creature, its body becomes a new body for them. The body is treated as a separate creature controlled by their mind and sharing their Features. All their bodies have separate actions, but expend uses of limited use Features as a single creature.
For each body they have beyond the first, their functional Kick Ass, Bad Ass and Smart Ass are reduced by 1. All factors dependent on their Ability Scores reduce accordingly.
During a full rest, they can give or remove the Dormant Damage Condition from one or more of their bodies. The Dormant Damage Condition has the effects of Unconscious, except it is only removed when they choose and bodies with Dormant do not reduce their functional Kick Ass, Bad Ass and Smart Ass. All bodies are treated the same, meaning they can operate in any body, even if their original body is dormant or destroyed.
They gain no Features or mechanical changes from the creature, but do get access to a fractured form of its memories. This lets them make Recollection Checks (1d12 + Smart Ass) to find information known by the creature. The difficulty of finding specific information is at Game Master discretion.
If a body gains the Death Damage Condition, the penalty to their Kick Ass, Bad Ass and Smart Ass is not reduced until they take a full rest.
Infested (2 FP): The Host inhabit organic or partially organic bodies, making them dependent on food, water, air and sleep to function. However, their ability to maintain and repair their bodies on a subatomic level allows them to sustain a body without these resources.
When their body would die from the absence of one of these resources, their body instead enter stasis and falls unconscious until the missing resource is returned.
In addition, if their body would die from a toxin, pathogen or similar ailment, they instead fall unconscious for a full rest. After this full rest, they awake completely cured of the ailment effecting their body.
Likewise, taking a full rest while effected by such an ailment, whether life threatening or not, will cure them of the ailment after the full rest.
Cybervore (1 FP): The Host can metabolize almost any material into usable fuel and building blocks for their body. The Infested Feature is still required to neutralize toxic compounds, but even otherwise fatal matter can be synthesized into food for their organic body.
In addition, they can fabricate cybernetic enhancements within their organic bodies, provided they have sufficient knowledge and skill. This allows them to grow cybernetic enhancements in newly assimilated bodies. The time needed to add an enhancement to a new body is at Game Master discretion.
Note: This Feature allows them to take Features of the Cyborg clan without the need to acquire the components. They must still take the Features to know how to fabricate enhancements.
Repair (1 FP): The Host constantly repair and augment their organic bodies. After a full rest, they can remove one Damage Condition only affecting the physical body, not including Death. Whether a given Damage Condition can be removed or altered is at Game Master discretion.
Breed (0 FP): The Host can breed with mates compatible with their body. At the time of mating, they can choose for the offspring to be a new body or new Host.
Any creature that receives material from them while mating must make an Immune Check (1d12 + Bad Ass), as if affected by the Assimilation Feature. If it is assimilated, it gains all base Features of the Host clan, but cannot become a new body.
Timeless (0 FP): The Host does not age no matter how much time passes.
Easily Overwhelmed (-18 FP): The Host has to actively manipulate their bodies on a microscopic level as much as a macroscopic one. This slows their reflexes and causes tissue to be placed into stasis when they are overwhelmed. They reduce the results of Kick Ass and Bad Ass Checks to contribute to the Combat Kick Ass and Bad Ass of their side by 3.
Note: Most Host do not have this Feature or have a reduced version. It is usually only present in the recently assimilated.
Optional Features
Improved Focus (6 FP): The Host has greater multitasking abilities, letting them function better under stress and keep their body functional while damaged. They increase the results of Kick Ass and Bad Ass Checks to contribute to the Combat Kick Ass and Bad Ass of their side by 1.
Divided Focus (2 FP): The Host improves their ability to manage multiple bodies, but is no better at maintaining any given body. Their functional Kick Ass, Bad Ass and Smart Ass is increased by 1. This cannot increase any functional Ability Score above that Ability Score.
For 2 additional FP, their functional Kick Ass, Bad Ass and Smart Ass is increased by 1 again. This additional cost can be paid repeatedly, increasing their functional Kick Ass, Bad Ass and Smart Ass by 1 each time.
Synthesis (2 FP): The Host alters an existing organ within their body or their anatomy to create an organ for fabricating objects. As an action, they may implement the fabrication of an item they know the design for. Learning a complex design often requires downloading it.
Simple items usually require an hour to fabricate, but more complex objects may require longer at Game Master discretion. Material resources must be ingested to supply fabricated items. The maximum size an item can be is dependent on the size of the fabrication organ, which may inhibit the functions of a body at Game Master discretion.
Flesh Architect (1 FP): The Host can grow any of their bodies into immense biotech structures, letting them become living cities or star craft. The time required varies, but growing into a large building requires over six months and becoming a city can take up to a decade.
A body serving as a star craft can be made to support the bodily needs of biological passengers, Host or otherwise, and can fly or warp at speeds comparable to inorganic space craft. Bodies serving as buildings may also provide civil infrastructure, but normally only move at their Speed.
For 1 additional FP, bodies serving as star craft can fly at twice the speed of their inorganic counterparts and treat their bodies as warp beacons.
Cloner (0 FP): The Host can use their body to create new bodies or new Host, altering it to produce organic bodies from its own mass and genetic material. Such offspring take an hour to form and can be expelled as twelve actions.
If creating a new body, it takes six months for the body to reach the size of the body that produced it. However, it may still be fully functional immediately. If creating a new Host, the offspring physically matures at the same rate, but may take several years to reach mental maturity.
