Purifier
To purify the unclean is to seek the true void.
To purify the unclean is to seek the true void.
Base Features (0 FP)
Unrelenting (8 FP): As twelve actions, a Purifier can remove all Damage Conditions only affecting their physical body.
For 4 additional FP, all Damage Conditions only affecting their physical body are removed after 24 seconds, even if no actions are taken.
Cleansing (4 FP): A Purifier is manifested for a single purpose, to destroy a category of creature that matches their typological target. If they enter combat with a creature that belongs to their typological target, they increase their side’s Combat Kick Ass by 2 against the creature’s side.
For 2 additional FP, they increase the results by 3, rather than 2. This additional cost can be paid repeatedly, the results increasing by 1 for each time it is taken.
Timeless (0 FP): Purifiers do not age no matter how much time passes.
Typological Target (0 FP): Each Purifier manifests in reality through the influence of a specific avatar of the Cleansing Radiance. Any of their Features that refer to a typological target are using the term to reference whatever the avatar was manifested into reality to destroy.
Even if the Cleansing Radiance has multiple avatars manifested with differing typological targets, they only treat the one targeted by the avatar whose influence manifested them as their typological target.
If every instance of the typological target is ever truly destroyed, their typological target changes to whatever new target the avatar has chosen.
Unworldly Corruption (0 FP): The influence of a specific avatar of the Cleansing Radiance within a Purifier’s being opens them up to their patron. They are always aware of the avatar’ existence and what could be bargained for.
At any time, they can offer themselves up to the avatar, becoming a Chosen One and gaining power in exchange for service. They must have sufficient FP to gain whatever Features they gain from becoming a Chosen One.
Unworldly Nature (0 FP): Purifiers do not exist within any reality, but can be drawn into any reality because of it. Even when they have no presence within a reality, they can be manifested through the use of the influence of the Cleansing Radiance.
This can happen as a byproduct of large accumulations of the influence of the Cleansing Radiance, growing to the point they can manifest.
Alternatively, the influence of the Cleansing Radiance can be manipulated to deliberately call a Purifier into reality. The method used to achieve this varies, and is mostly up to Game Master discretion.
Their typological target changes based on what avatar of the Cleansing Radiance acts as the source of the influence used to manifest them.
Will Of The Cleansing Radiance (-4 FP): The Cleansing Radiance is antithetical to impurity, all things impure from its objective stance outside the biases of existence. Only the narrow perspective of a mortal mind can blind its omni-biased hatred, revealing a single target for eradication. Purifiers must dedicate themselves to the complete destruction of their typological target above all other goals.
If the Game Master rules that the player is failing to follow this behavior, the Game Master takes control of the character until this has been corrected. Creatures immune to mental tampering cannot have this Feature.
Better To Die (-8 FP): If a Purifier is ever a member of their own typological target, they automatically gain the Annihilated Damage Condition. Annihilated has the effects of the Death Damage Condition, but is only removed if they are no longer a member of their typological target.
Optional Features
Hypocrisy (8 FP): The Purifier can pursue the greater purpose of destroying their typological target without destroying themselves, even if they are part of their typological target. This negates Better To Die.
Grant Purpose (0 FP): As twelve actions while touching a willing creature not belonging to their typological target, the Purifier can give it all base Features of the Purifier clan. The new Purifier has the same typological target as them.
Inflict Purpose (0 FP): When the Purifier gives a creature that does not belonging to their typological target the Death Damage Condition, the creature loses the Death Damage Condition 3 days later and gains all base Features of the Purifier clan. The new Purifier has the same typological target as them.
