As the Gods shaped the Denizens from the substance of the Mortal Realm, they shaped the Elves from the stuff of the Dreamwilds. Despite their nature as creations of the divine, something of the subjective nature of the realm that birthed them lies at the crux of the fey creatures.
Existing in a realm free of definition, time, space and material itself subject to their perceptions, it is no wonder that Elves developed norms and values alien to those held by the mortal clans. Existing in something like a dream, and part of the dream themselves, Elves have no regard for the value of material resources.
They lack understanding of hunger, no not the wear of the ages, seeing only value in entertainment and games. To an Elf, these are the material, the things in your mind more real than the malleable nature of physical objects.
This view shapes their behavior and interactions with the Mortal Realm and those from outside the Dreamwilds. Similarly, it can leave them it ill suited the materialistic and finite nature of the Mortal Realm.
Appearance: Very few will ever see an Elf in there true form, many not even realizing there is such a thing. For those who do get the chance to observe an Elf free of glamour, they will find them to come in two distinct forms.
A male Elf is a smaller, more impish stage of their development. Being between 3 to 4 ft. in height, male Elves are distinguished by a secondary set of arms below their primary set. This lower set is smaller and often used to perform more intricate tasks that do not require brute force. Upon maturing into the female stage of their development, they loose these secondary limbs.
Female Elves are approximately twice the hight of their initial male stage, moving from a puckish appearance to something innately regal. Being oviparous, they do not lactate and lack any mammaries, but possess the wider hips, narrow upper body and overall feminine build associated with the females of many humanoid species.
Unlike males, female Elves grow a crown like structure on their heads, resembling antlers of living wood. These antlers grow in direct proportion to their total FP, the size and complexity revealing their level, up until they lose their true form at full maturity. This potential weakness is speculated to contribute to the elven dislike for showing their true forms.
Both male and female Elves have skin that appears to have been carved from a stone reminiscent of slate, leading many to compare them to living statues. Networks of lines run across their skin, appearing like abnormally dark cracks in the stone. Despite this inorganic appearance, elven flesh behaves as any organic creatures, soft and clearly living to the touch.
