Pandas - Irene Kim (6th Grade, Margaret Landell Elementary)
Hi my name is BingBong, and I’m a giant panda bear who lost her parents due to a tsunami that washed out everything. Now, I’m on a mission to find my lost parents, I hope that they’re looking for me too… Ever since I lost my parents, I just gave up on myself.
Right now, I live alone in a small hut that I put together a year ago just when the wave hit. Made with bamboo and straws. I started to wander around going left, then right, occasionally backwards, mostly going forward for the bright future ahead of me to find.
When I turned a couple rights and some left, I knew I was going nowhere! That's when I met Bat's sharp brown eyes. He suddenly teleported right next to me, whispering, “You better hide.” Right then and there I started running and running, the fact that Bat looked like a singular dot. The next thing I know, he’s right next to me. I then quickly hide behind an oak tree, big enough to hide me from Bat. Bat had magical superpowers that let him teleport whenever, wherever. After all that hiding, I was basically a wizard in his natural habitat, I was excellent at hiding.
I walked around a little, noticing a small hut, I went inside and found a witch with a really long nose and purple clothes. “Well well well… Look what we have here… “ said Willy the Witch. All Willy’s desires were to grab me and cook me in a cauldron, I was never letting that happen. Willy slowly walked towards me attempting to grab me. I was horrified but climbed up the tallest tree I could find, It was at least 100 feet! It was an amazing plan because Willy couldn’t reach me for the life of her. When she finally left me alone, I quickly jumped down, almost breaking an ankle, and I ran. After climbing that 100 foot tall tree, I was horrendously amazing at climbing trees.
I started on my feet, but when I was about 5 minutes in wandering, there was a HUGE problem! Right in front of me, there was a long river that it was difficult for a HUMAN to cross! Obviously I had to strategize, fortunately, there was a small rabbit sitting under a tree who could potentially help me cross. When I approached the rabbit, Bliss, she took out a ginormous rifle bigger than her and started shooting me. I was in utter shock but started running, eventually, when I managed to escape her, I crossed the giant river.
“Pheww!” I was so tired of running, hiding, and climbing. Also, I was probably nowhere near my parents. “Do you want a bottle of water?” asked a familiar guy who gently handed me the bottle. “DAD!?!?!” I screamed excitedly jumping around. I met eyes with my mom too! “ Aww son we knew you could do it!” said my mom. I was ecstatic, I finished my mission!
