Who are we?

A group of students who are interested in a multitude of topics but are all passionate about writing.

The National Writing Invitational is primarily ran by Buena Park High School's Brian Lee (President of Competition and Creative Skills Club) and advised by Mr. Vermillion (Advisor of Competition and Creative Skills Club). 

What is the National Writing Invitational?

A contest where students can compete against each other with their writing and a place where they can enrich their creativity.

How do I submit?

Go to the Submissions Page and click on the page that fits your writing. There, you will be lead to a form where you can submit your writing

When is the deadline for all submissions?

October 1, 2024 for the Kindle Book. The end of the month for submissions wishing to be featured on the month that they submitted. (ie: if a writer wants their work to be published on the website at the end of January, they have until the end of January to submit)

When will the rankings be announced?

Some time after the contest is over and once the judges have finished their work. 

What are the prizes?

Judges will award first, second, and third prize for each category (e.g., K-2, Discovery), depending on sufficient number of submissions.
