Fu Bao

Fu Bao - Minzhu Wen (A.E Arnold Elementary School, 6th Grade)

As soon as the plane ticket was signed, arrangements were made. Fu Bao, a young giant panda, will travel from China to live in a new place in a new country for the next ten years. 

Fu Bao, a giant panda, was on her way back home with her dog, Chu, when he spotted $40 bamboo on the floor. He picked it up and showed Fu Bao the bamboo. “ Wow! Chu, how did you find that? We are now rich!” Fu Bao exclaimed. Her dog shrugged, dropped the bamboo next to Fu boa and started walking the opposite way of the house. “ Chu! Where are you going? That's the opposite way of the house!” Chu wagged her tail and kept on walking until she came back with a paper. Fu ba picked up the paper with all of her 12 fingers and started to look through it. “ CA. What is CA?” Chu tugged on the paper and pointed at CALIFORNIA. “ Ohh! California! I have always wanted to go there, but $20 bamboos each! That is baloney.” yelled Fu Bao. “ Wait, I have just enough for both of us! We can both go!” Chu started to wag his tail and yip. 

The next day, Fu boa and Chu started to search for two plane tickets. They searched, until they found them. They were very expensive tickets .It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to go to California and live there for more than a year. After making and getting the tickets, Fu Boa and Chu started to pack up for their trip. 

The next day Fu Bao and Chu arrived at the airport.” Wow! I’ve never been to an airport before! This is bigger than I thought, Chu!” Chu yipped and circled around Fu Boa. They walked toward the entrance of the airport and suddenly Chu got picked up by a person and started to run into the forest. Fu Boa chased the guy in panic and started to yell,” Hey, you! Come here, give me back my dog!” Then the panda started to climb a tree. “ No! I can’t climb a tree! Wait, I’m a panda!” Fu Bao started to climb the tree and finally caught up with the Panda. “ Hey, why did you steal my dog!” Fu Boa yelled. “Huh? Oh your dog? I didn’t steal him. A big piece of luggage was coming toward your dog so I ran toward the forest to climb a tree for safety!” Fu Boa understood and asked for his dog back. When she got her dog back she quickly ran back to the airport just in case the panda changed his mind on stealing her cute dog. At departure they both went inside of the plane. It was magical. Then they both fell asleep. When they woke up they were in California. It was so nice. 

Fubao started to look for an apartment and moved in with Chu. They both spent the rest of their time in California happy and joyful.
