Wilkaea

Wilkaea huegeliana has the toughest, veiniest and most spiky leaves of the seedlings with toothed leaves. It is a slow but steady grower, forming a small tree underneath the main canopy. Its large white seeds can sometimes be found on the forest floor, cleaned by birds that eat the black fruit. Seedlings are immediately recognisable by their unusually large cotyledons that lack the spiky teeth of the secondary leaves
