Myrsine

Muttonwood, Myrsine howittiana, formerly placed in the genus Rapanea.

The toothing of the leaves gets progressively less so as the tree grows. In any case, it's highly variable. Note the rather thick leaves, the prominent midvein and the reddish colour at the leaf base. At this early stage it's sometimes confused with two other seedlings with toothed leaves, Wilkaea (with very tough veiny and opposite leaves) and the burny vine Trophis (thinner leaves).
