Trophis (formerly Malaisia)

Burny vine, Trophis scandens, is a climber whose seedlings with toothed leaves are sometimes confused wth those of Myrsine howittiana (muttonwood) or with Wilkaea huegeliana.

It's called burny vine because of the roughly hairy stems. When you brush against them going up the stem they cut into the skin, but not when brushed in the other direction.
