For my service project, I organized a CPR and basic first aid session with the Oakland Park fire chief. This project will need to gather middle school students and teachers. This project will consist of teaching basic first aid and bystander CPR. Basic first aid and bystander CPR is essential for people of all ages to know so they can save lives prior to professional assistance. The purpose of this project is to teach students and teachers of Saint Marks to learn essential life-saving skills.

Reflection
The session was very successful as we had 20 students come and participate. In the span of an hour, these students were taught how to do bystander CPR as well as using mannequins to actually practice. These students now know how to save someone’s life by performing CPR in time of need.
