Project Description
My goal was to make aftercare more enjoyable by adding more things to do and ways to explore hobbies and interests. Although aftercare has many activities, I wanted to give more options to those who may not know what they like.
Purpose
We made group games and sign-up sheets so that aftercare kids could have more activities to do while waiting to be picked up. Some of the activities we offered were soccer, capture the flag, and indoor board games. We also gave other kids the chance to participate.
Reflection
Through this experience, I learned that keeping kids from fighting, crying, and getting upset during sports and games requires a lot of effort. I initially thought this project would be easy, but it challenged me and helped me develop my leadership skills.

Project Description
My goal was to offer more ways and things to do in aftercare! Although aftercare has much to offer, I wanted to offer more fun things to do! This way they will have plenty of options depending on what they would like to do.
Purpose
We created group games in order to give aftercare kids more activities while waiting to be picked up. We also created sign-up sheets to let other kids have the opportunity to be included. Some of the activities that we included were soccer, capture the flag, and indoor board games.
Reflection
During this experience, I learned a lot. For example, while watching and helping the kids play sports and fun games I learned that it is a lot of hard work to stop kids from fighting, crying, and getting upset. This took me by surprise because I thought that this would be an easy project but I was wrong. Overall this project helped to further my citizenship and leadership skills in many ways.

Project Description
My project was group games with the aftercare kids. I offered an assortment of games such as dodgeball, capture-the-flag, and kickball. I wanted as many kids as possible to have the opportunity to have a fun time on Fridays to start their weekend.
Purpose
My goal with the Group Games was to allow the kids in aftercare to have a fun time. Many kids who are stuck in aftercare may not have anything to do that is interesting to them. I hoped to allow the kids in aftercare to do something fun or something new that they haven't done before!
Reflection
During my service project, I learned a couple things. I learned that younger kids will argue and be upset when they don´t get the team they want, or if they can´t play the game they want to play. During my project, I had to show leadership, and had to direct the games. I had to make sure all the kids were playing safely, not fighting, and not getting hurt. I was challenged during my experiment, and this project helped me improve my skills of leadership.
