Lion Pride Video

Project Description

I'm Rylee and I co-founded the Lion's Pride video with Liv. In the Lion Pride video elective where we plan, film, and edit a video. We found students around campus, played team-building games with them as well as resolved arguments with students and their peers. This is a completely student-run video.

Purpose

The purpose is to spread kindness and provide an entertaining community among the students. We have three segments in the video: Kindness Cam, Squash the Beef, and Serro Suggestions.  I chose this project because I think it's important to have some fun and spread kindness among the students. I hoped to make a couple of fun videos that can be shared among the students. 

The students in my elective and I learned how to edit videos and how to make them entertaining. One surprise we ran into was that it took way longer to finish a video than we thought. We only produced 2 videos but we worked really hard on them to make them good quality. I learned to be a leader and be able to conduct a group in a productive way. 

Reflection

Throughout the making of the video, we learned how to listen to and connect with our peers. We also learned responsibility on how to manage a deadline and instruct a team of students. We became the perfect mix of affirmative yet kind leaders. This was a really fun and helpful experience.
