For my project, I chose to do a Christmas toy drive to help benefit many of our local charities such as Boys and Girls Club, ChildNet, HOPE South Florida, Jackson Memorial hospital, St. Clements, and many more. The drive was run by my church, St. John the Baptist. I made a registry and sent it out to my friends and family. I was able to bring in over 100 toys to the church. Once all the toys had been collected I helped sort each item to a kid in need. This project was to provide gifts for children who do not receive very much and give them a happy holiday season.
I did the St John the Baptist Church Toy drive because of my enjoyment for helping others. The holidays can be such a fun time and everyone deserves to celebrate equally. My hard work and devotion helped me make it possible and have so many children receive gifts.
I collected over 100 toys and was able to personally match each item with someone in need. After the church delivered all of the items to the consumers to insure everyone got a gift. I am really thrilled with the way this project turned out and would love to continue contributing throughout highschool. Thank you so much to anyone that helped make this possible.
