Cooked in oven on cookie sheet
We trim them by breaking the end of the stem where it naturally breaks and then rinse them.
I put them in a ziplock bag with Extra Virgin Olive Oil It depends on how many you make - but, enough Extra Virgin Olive Oil to coat them (1-2 Tablespoons).
I then sprinkle salt and pepper to taste in the ziplock bag as well. Shake it up and move the bag to distribute the oil, salt and pepper - really coat the asparagus.
Spray a cookie sheet (preferably with a lip) with cooking spray and evenly spread the asparagus on the tray.
Place in a preheated oven - 450-475 depends on your oven (I have done it at both temperatures). Basically, roast them to your taste (crunchy or soft).
