Crazy Cake

This was a Wartime Recipe

Sheila Dumas - September 1964

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1 tsp baking soda

1 cup sugar

1/2 tsp salt

3 Tablespoons cocoa

Directions:

1) Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2) Sift all these ingredients together in a bowl

3) Make 3 holes in dry ingredients and add:

1st hole: 1 Tablespoon vinegar

2nd hole: 1 tsp. vanilla

3rd hole: 5 Tablespoons oil

4) Pour 1 cup cold water over all the ingredients

5) Mix until blended, and pour into greased 8 x 8 pan

6) Bake for approximately 25 minutes
