Alrich Wren
General Notes
This CRL is unique as it pertains to a canon character, Alrich Wren, as seen in the TV show Star Wars Rebels
Utilizing the provided reference pictures will be the best aid in an aspiring builder wanting to make a club approvable canon kit.
Tunic/Upper Body
Tunic is loose fitting. The drape is that of a fairly substantial fabric. This effect can be created by using a heavyweight fabric or by interfacing and lining a lighter weight fabric. However, fabric should not be stiff.
Tunic should be designed to match the source material as closely as possible.
Tunic should extend to mid-hip length.
Front:
There is a center panel approximately 4” (10 cm) wide in a dark grey fabric.
The side panels are composed of two pieces. The upper side panel is a light grey that continues in a contrast stripe next to the center panel, and the outer side panel is a medium grey.
There is a yoke made out of a teal fabric. It is split into a collar and a paneled section. The paneled section should be made of separate pieces rather than topstitched. There are four panels on the front yoke.
The collar of the yoke is shaped to fit the top of the center panel.
Back:
There is a similar center panel of about 4” (10 cm) wide. It is bordered by two stripes in the light grey.
The side panels are dark grey and light grey. The light grey upper side panels are a continuation of the light grey upper side panel seen on the front.
The yoke consists of a flat collar piece and a paneled section. Both are continuations of the front yoke. There are five panels on the back yoke. Back yoke panels are slightly wider than front yoke panels.
Sleeves:
The lighter grey fabric of the front tunic continues into the sleeves to form inner sleeve panels. The outer sleeve panels are the medium grey fabric. Sleeve panel style lines match with the torso style lines at the front.
Sleeves are loose and bloused at the cuff in a narrow Bishop sleeve style.
There are two additional style lines above the cuff. The top panel is the same dark grey as the rest of the sleeve. The middle panel is a tan colored fabric. The cuff itself is again the dark grey of the sleeve.
There are no side seams.
Collar is a Mandarin type stand collar that does not close at the front. It is almost the entire height of the neck. There are cream highlights at the edges and front of the collar.
A yellow decoration lies over the yoke. This decoration can be made out of fabric or dyed leather. It is colored with a lighter yellow border and a darker yellow center. The yellows are the Clan Wren yellows and should match the light and dark yellows seen on the armor of Ursa Wren and Tristan Wren. The decoration should stand away from the yoke about 3/8” (1 cm). The width of the decoration is that of one panel of the paneled section of the back yoke and slightly wider than that of one panel on the paneled section of the front yoke.
A watch-style band is worn on the left wrist. Lighted buttons can be LEDs or painted.
Pants
Pants are loose fitting and are made out of the same material as the tunic.
The majority of the pants are made out of the medium grey fabric used in the tunic. There are two contrast panels at the inner thighs, front and back, that are made out of the dark grey fabric used in the tunic.
The waistband is hidden underneath the tunic and can be of any style.
The pants are worn tucked into the gaiters and should be sufficiently bloused over the tops of the gaiters to match the source material. Cuffs are hidden and can be of any style.
Boots and Gaiters
Boots are black leather or leather-like material.
An inside zip is permitted. Outside zips and laces are not permitted. A boot cover can be used to hide fasteners.
Gaiters are made of a black leather or leather-like material similar to the boots.
Gaiters should be tight fitting and sized appropriately to the wearer.
Gaiters should close with a zipper located on the back or inner calf. Care should be taken to minimize the visibility of the zipper. It is recommended that gaiters also be held on with a stirrup of black elastic that goes under the boot.
There is a border of yellow along the bottom of the gaiters. This should be flat piping rather than painted. The yellow is the darker of the two Clan Wren yellows and should match the dark yellow seen on Ursa Wren and Tristan Wren’s armor. It should match the dark yellow used on the tunic decoration as closely as possible.
Hairstyle
Hair should be dark brown and cut short, and swept back from the forehead
Goatee should match the colour of the hair
