William Jarvis

William Jarvis was born on October 14, 1960.

He won on his first ride in public, Chance Belle at Redcar on June 18, 1977.

It was a short-lived career: after a spell working for trainer T. J. Smith in Sydney, Australia, William returned to become assistant trainer to Henry Cecil.

William took out a trainer's licence on 1 February, 1985, and, from Phantom House, Newmarket, has gone on to send out the winners of the Norfolk, the Doncaster Cup, the Dewhurst and a host of other good winners.
