1. Descriptive Adjectives

Describe quality or characteristics.
Example: beautiful, tall, smart

Show quantity.
Example: some, much, little, enough

3. Numerical Adjectives

Show number or order.
Example: one, two, first, second

4. Demonstrative Adjectives

Point out specific things.
Example: this, that, these, those, the same, such, articles- a, an & the.

5. Possessive Adjectives

Show ownership.
Example: my, your, his, her, their

6. Interrogative Adjectives

Used to ask questions.
Example: which, what, whose

7. Distributive Adjectives

Refer to members of a group individually.
Example: each, every, either, neither

8. Proper Adjectives

Adjectives formed from proper nouns.
Example: American, Indian, Shakespearean
