Producers should write up a Quality Control Report (QCR) daily after their shows.
Copy the info below into an email, and “fill it in.”
Send the email to: WDAF Reporters, WDAF Producers and WDAF Newsman
Don’t include technical – directors/eng will cover that.
Your report should be more editorially focused – following the prompts below.
You can see, we’re hoping you consider these prompts as you produce your show:
-Look for “Working for You” moments.
-Cover our target areas.
-Point people to specific content on the web
“Content rich web push” means you did more than say “more on fox4kc.com.” (Avoid “moron” scripts!)
In the notes section, you can point out important information about stories (follow-ups, great sound or video).
You can also highlight great moments from your show.
