  • The Weld tool will work on two or more layers. Only if you’ve one layer selected, the press button will be “grayed out,” and you will not be able to use it.

  • Use the Weld tool on overlapping pictures. To connect pictures so that they are cut as one piece, the two pictures must overlap.

  • You can Weld grouped or Attached pictures. if you Weld grouped pictures, all visible layers would become a single weld result layer

  • Hidden layers will not be Welded. When you Weld a group with a hidden layer, the hidden layer will be separated, and the Weld will not be part of the result layer.

  • The “Weld Result” layer will contain the layer’s properties at the bottom. In other words, the Weld joins the layers “down.” So, when you have a red shape on the top side of a blue shape, the Weld tool result will be a blue shape.


There is no Unweld press button. After saving a project, welding becomes permanent and cannot be reversed.
