The simplest method to make banners in the Cricut Design Space is via the use of shapes. So, if you want to make something easily and quickly, this is the technique to do so.
Following is the step-by-step guide to making banners using shapes:
You will find a shape button located on the left panel of the Design Space canvas and choose the triangle option.
Now right-click on the triangle you added to your canvas and click on the Flip Option.
Select the “flip vertical” option, which is located on the top of your Cricut Design Space canvas.
By default, the Cricut Design Space has all the segments locked. To change the settings, click on the triangle, and after that, click on the small lock button, which is located in the lower-left corner of the selection. After you have successfully unlocked the triangle, you can now resize it by moving the triangle with the help of the arrows located in the lower right corner of the selection.
To make two small dumps where the twine will go through to hang the banner, you will need to make two similar small-sized circles. After that, again, click on the shapes, then click on the circle option, and then modify the circle's size until it becomes very small. After that, select them and click on Ctrl+C, and after that, Ctrl + V. If you’re using a mac, replace the Ctrl command with CMD.
To complete the banner-making process, right-click on the triangle and weld the circles. After that, click on the slice tool positioned at the bottom of the Layers panel.
Now finally, it is your time to add fonts to your banner. Click on the text icon which is located on the canvas, type any single letter, and position it on the top of the banner.
Now it is finally time to make the remaining pieces for your banner. To make the banner, right-click on the triangle and the letter, and then copy and paste the triangles until you have all the pieces you need.
You can use different shapes to make banners; you’re not only limited to just triangle shapes. Cricut has got a total number of 9 different shapes to ensure the creation of different shapes diamonds, hearts, circles, squares, and many more.
We really love this method because you can make banners with some quick, easy steps. The only major issue with these types of fonts is that they’re paid.
If you want to have Cricut Access, there are various options to use at almost no cost. However, you will definitely need to pay if you don't have it.
