Once you move back to your primary phone, open WhatsApp and click on the overflow. ( you can find this button on the top right). And then hit Linked devices > Link a device. A QR code scanner will appear. The purpose is to scan the code displayed on the second phone. Allow your second phone to reload Whatsapp with the same Account as your primary device.
If you don’t want the tablet interface and small fonts on your second phone, you can go back to step 3 and then navigate to the original smallest width setting. During the process, WhatsApp will remain linked to your Account.
