TOURIST VISA TO CUBA

APPLICATION FOR ELECTRONIC TOURIST VISA TO CUBA:  

The electronic tourist visa is issued to foreign citizens who wish to visit Cuba expressly for tourism or recreation. The visa will be valid for a single entry into the national territory and for an initial stay of 90 days, which could be extended once for an additional 90 days at the bureau of the hotel where you are staying or before the immigration authorities in each municipality or province of the country. Once a tourist has been issued it cannot be changed or refunded.

Minors must also obtain their electronic tourist visa to enter Cuba, even when they are registered in their parents' passports. At the bottom of the page you can consult current travel and stay offers. See below INFORMATION FOR TRAVELERS UNDER 16 YEARS OF AGE OR PERSONS UNDER GUARDIANSHIP.

DOCUMENTS TO PRESENT AT MEXICO AIRPORTS TO VISIT CUBA:

• Valid foreign passport (not photocopy).

• Identification document or temporary or permanent residence in Mexico or another country (INE credential, current professional card with photograph, credential from the National Institute of Older Persons, etc.) (not a photocopy).

• Round trip plane ticket, continuation to other destinations, or ticket reservation.

• Immigration form for advanced traveler information DVIAJEROS (printed or digital) with electronic tourist visa included. See below OBTAINING THE ELECTRONIC TOURIST VISA and ADVANCE TRAVEL INFORMATION FORM.

• Travel and stay insurance with medical coverage. See below for TRAVEL AND STAY INSURANCE.

In correspondence with the international and national epidemiological situation of COVID-19 and the immunization levels achieved in Cuba, the presentation of tests for COVID-19 (antigen test, PCR-RT or similar) carried out in the country of origin, as well as the anti-COVID-19 vaccination certificate will not be necessary. OBTAINING THE ELECTRONIC VISA:

Electronic tourist visas are made up of a set of 10 unique and unrepeatable characters. They can be obtained in the following ways:

• Making the request through the consulate's web portal, accessing the address https://evisacuba.cu/en/inicio , selecting the country MEXICO and the consulate MONTERREY. The fee for each visa will be 575.00 Mexican pesos. Payment must be made by deposit in cash through an ATM or over the counter, at any branch of the BBVA BANCOMER bank to the account: EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF CUBA, CONSULATE IN MONTERREY, account number: 0149793887. Attach to the application a clear and legible image of the payment receipt, otherwise it could be cancelled.

• Directly at the Monterrey airport, arriving at least 3 hours before the start of checking. This option is only applicable to direct Monterrey-Havana flights operated by VIVA AEROBUS, which have two weekly frequencies (wednesdays and saturdays). Payment for visas will be made only in cash (mexican pesos) to duly identified travel agents, showing the requirements mentioned above.

• Going or contacting a Travel Agency, which may also issue tourist packages, verify and/or contract medical insurance or other facilities for your stay in Cuba.
