Branches

QuickEasy BOS allows you to set-up multiple Branches with their own unique Commissions, Markups and default Service Categories to be used in the Finishing and Pre-Press production stages.

User Access

User access must be set, navigate to Main Menu > Setup > Staff > Edit > Settings > Other Settings > Branches - Access Allowed - All.

This will show a Branch Filter in Estimate/QT and Accounting.

Branches Setup

Navigation

Main Menu > Setup > Branches

  1. Code - This is an unique Code that will represents the Branch.
  2. Name - This is the Name of the Branch.
  3. Default Commission (%) - Here you can set the Default Commission for the selected branch.
  4. Default Commission based on - Here you can set what the Default Commission is based on:
    • % of Profit - This selection allows commission to be calculated based on the percentage of profit made.
    • % of Value Add - This selection allows commission to be calculated based on the value added - ie. the selling price less direct costs.
    • % of Selling Price - This allows commission to be calculated against a percentage of total selling price.
    • 2nd Adj. - This allows commission to be calculated against a 2nd adjustment or markup.
    • N/A - This selection makes commission Not Applicable to the selected Branch.
  5. Default Markup (%) - Here you can set the Default Markup for the selected branch.

Note

In the Quotations Menu you can Reset Estimate Adjustments to the default adjustments (point 3,4 and 5 above) of the selected Customer.

By default, when the Customer is changed on a Quotation, the Estimate adjustments are not changed.

6. Default Service Category for Finishing - Here you can select the Default Service Category for the Finishing production process of the selected Branch.

7. Default Service Category for Pre-Press - Here you can select the Default Service Category for the Pre-Press production process of the selected Branch.

8. Add - This allows you to add a Branch. To add a Branch click the Add button, the Branches data-grid will populate with another row, simply enter the Code, Name and Branch Settings. Once all the fields are completed, click Save.

Branches Staff Setup

Functionality is included to specify which Branch each member of Staff is assigned to.

To set-up Staff Branches, navigate to Main Menu > Setup > Staff > Select Staff Member > Right-click and select Edit > Detail tab > Select the Branch from the Branches drop-down list.

Any transactions created by the Staff Member will be linked to the selected Branch.

Branch Filters

The following modules in BOSPrint has Branch filters providing the additional functionality:

  • Customers - In Customers Setups under the Accounting tab you are able to select a Branch. When a Customer is linked to a Branch, they can only be selected on a Quotation or Estimate which is linked to the same Branch. If the Branch on a Quotation or Estimate is changed, the Customer will be cleared if they are not linked to the newly selected Branch.
  • Cost Centres - Cost Centres has a Branch filter available and the Overhead linked to a Branch is assigned only to Cost Centres which are linked to the same Branch. Cost Centres that are not linked to a Branch are grouped together.
  • Printing Types - Printing Types has a Branch filter that prevents the Printing Type from being used in Estimates that are not linked to the same Branch. If the Printing Type is not linked to a Branch, it can be used in any Transaction.
  • Material Categories - Material Categories has a Branch filter that prevents the Materials in a Category from being used in Transactions that are not linked to the same Branch. If the Material Category is not linked to a Branch, the Materials can be used in any Transaction.
  • Service Categories - Services Categories has a Branch filter that prevents the Services in a Category from being used in Transactions that are not linked to the same Branch. If the Service Category is not linked to a Branch, the Services can be used in any Transaction.
  • Output Templates - Output Templates has a Branch filter that prevents the Template from being used in Transactions that are not linked to the same Branch. If the Template is not linked to a Branch, it can be used in any Transaction.
  • Customer/Supplier Age Analysis - Customer and Supplier Age Analysis has a Branch filter that will filter the Age Analysis to calculate the Ageing from Transactions linked to the selected Branch.

NB

The Branch filter is on Transactions and not on the Customer or Supplier.

  • Ledger - The Customer and Supplier Detailed Ledger can also be filtered by Branch.
