Displaying Data Grids

Data Grids are used to display data in rows (records) and columns (fields). You can customise the layout to display only the data that you wish to view.

  1. Move fields - Columns can be arranged within the grid by using 'drag-and-drop' functionality.

  2. Resize columns - You can resize the columns to optimise the space presented on your screen by clicking and dragging the column width to the desired size. You can also resize columns by right-clicking on the column and selecting Best Fit.

  3. Sort grids - Right-click on a column and select the desired action from the drop down list. You can remove columns, sort alphabetically, or group fields.

  4. Field Chooser - Right click on the column and select Field Chooser, a Customisation pop-up window will appear. This allows you to select which field you wish to add in that data grid. If the Field Chooser is empty, it means that everything that can be displayed in that data grid is being displayed.

  5. Menu - The Menu button provides additional functionality. Once you have changed the grid to best suit your needs, you can Export, Save or Restore the Grid.

    • Export Grid - This will save the Data Grid with all its content in XLS format.

    • Save Grid - This will save the current Data Grid layout.

    • Restore Grid - This will return the Data Grid to the default configuration.
