Folders Estimate

This topic shows you how to create a quotation for folders. Refer to the Printing Quote overview on the fields and functions of the printing estimate.

Navigation

Main Menu > Customers > Quotations > New > Printing Estimate

Navigation Bar > Quotations > New > Printing Estimate

Header

  1. Details - Enter the Customer, Contact and User Fields details.
  2. Category - Litho for larger print quantities or Digital for smaller quantities.
  3. Size - Select the appropriate size from the dropdown list. If the size is not available, type in the size.
  4. Add Qty - Type in the value of the quantity needed on the print job. Click Add Qty.

Pre-Press

  1. Item - Select the Pre-Press items required for the job.
  2. Quantity - Enter the number required.
  3. Exclude check box - Check this box if you wish to exclude the Items price from the overall Quote price.

Printing

  1. Add - Select Litho or Digital, based on the quantity required.
  2. Select Section - Select the size of the section. If it is not available, click the Custom button.
  3. Edit Section - Confirm the selection sizes.
  4. Select Ink - Choose the ink needed for front or back, or front and back.
  5. Select Press - Select the appropriate Press and Running Options and click Select.
  6. Edit Printing - Review the Imposition, Press, Material and Notes.
  7. Edit Paper - Select the substrate for the job.
  8. Cut out - Check that the cutout diagram and waste percentage (W%) are acceptable. Click Next.
  9. Summary - Review the summary page with the summary of the job spec. Click Finish.

Finishing

Typically, folders might require additional work such as sticking down flaps, gussets or sleeves. Add these here.

Material

Add any additional Material here.

Despatch

Specify how this order will be delivered to the client. Click the Packaging drop down menu and select what the work will be packaged in and select the Destination.

Pricing

If quantities and markup needs to be changed you can do so here.

The Quotation Letter

Click Output and select if you would like to send the quotation via printed copy, or Email. You can also preview what the quotation letter looks like first to make sure you’re happy with it before sending it to client.
