ব্যানার্জীর (১৯২৪) বর্ণনা:

• ঢাকা: "তর্জনী ও বৃদ্ধাঙ্গুলি ডান চোখে রাখা হয়: তারপর হাত দুইটা মুখের সামনে আনা হয়, চোখ অর্ধনিমীলিত।"

• বরিশাল: "ঘুম থেকে ওঠা (চোখ বন্ধ। ডান হাতের তালু মাথার কাছে, তারপর উঠে দাঁড়ানো হয়)। তারপর ডান হাত প্রসারিত করা হয়; আঙুলগুলো অর্ধ-ছড়ানো ('সূর্য'-এর চিহ্ন)।"

• কলকাতা: "চোখ খোলা, আঙুলগুলো চোখের সামনে। চোখ খোলার সাথে সাথে আঙুলগুলো ছড়িয়ে দেওয়া হয়।" [উপরের 'MORNING'-এর সাথে কিছু মিল]

Banerjee's (1924) descriptions:

• Dacca: "Fore finger and thumb to right eye: then hands in front of face, eyes half closed."

• Barisal: "Rising from sleep (eyes shut. Right hand palm close to the head, then getting up). Then right hand stretched out; fingers half-thrown out (sign for 'sun.')"

• Calcutta: "Opening of eyes, fingers in front of the eye. Spreading of fingers as eye is opened." [similar to MORNING above]
