• বরিশাল: "দুই হাত বুকের সমান্তরালে ও শরীর সামনের দিকে ঝুঁকে, এবং দাঁত না থাকার ভঙ্গি।"

• কলকাতা ("বৃদ্ধ"): "গালে চিমটি কাটা এবং এক হাতে লাঠি (মুষ্টিবদ্ধ হাত বুকের সমান্তরালে সামনে-পিছনে নাড়ানো হয়)।" [উপরের 'ELDERLY WALKING.STICK'-এর অনুরূপ]

• কলকাতা ("বৃদ্ধা"): "গালে চিমটি কাটা, আঙুল নাকের পর্দায় রাখা, সিঁথিতে আঁচড়ানো হয়।"

Banerjee's (1924) descriptions:

• Dacca: "Hands together level with chest, body bent forward."

• Barisal: "Hands together level with the chest and the body bent forward, and sign of absence of the teeth."

• Calcutta ("old man"): "Pinch cheeks and single-handed stick (fist closed and moved to and fro level with chest)." [identical to ELDERLY WALKING.STICK above]

• Calcutta ("old woman"): "Pinch cheeks, fingers to the septum of the nose, parting of hair."
