বাংলা ইশারা ভাষা (বাংলা ইঃভাঃ), যে বাংলাদেশি ইশারা ভাষা নামেও পরিচিত, বাংলাদেশের একমাত্র ইশারা ভাষা। (সংক্ষেপে BaSL বা BdSLও বলা হয়, কিন্তু আমরা এখানে Bangla SL বলি।) এটা একটা আলাদা ভাষা, যার নিজস্ব ব্যাকরণ ও শব্দভাণ্ডার রয়েছে। এটা অন্যান্য ইশারা ভাষার চেয়ে আলাদা এবং এটা কথ্য বা লিখিত বাংলার মতোও নয়। আমরা আশা করি যে এই সাইটটা বাংলাদেশের শ্রবণ-ও-বাকপ্রতিবন্ধী ব্যক্তি, তাদের পরিবার ও বন্ধুবান্ধব, এবং ভাষাবিদদের জন্য উপকারী হবে।

Bangla Sign Language, also known as Bangladeshi Sign Language, is the sole sign language used in Bangladesh. (It is often abbreviated BaSL or BdSL, but here we use Bangla SL.) It is a distinct language, with its own grammar and lexicon. It is not the same as other sign languages, and it is not the same as spoken or written Bangla/Bengali. We hope that this site will be useful to Deaf Bangladeshis, their family and friends, and linguists.
