I thought that it would be really cool to do a flower print because I imagined it on something like a sweatshirt. For this drawing, I drew out my favorite flower at an angle that would show most of it.

To make this piece of artwork I used lino black, carving tools, different colored inks, as well as white and mapped out paper.

I started out by sketching a flower and filling in the outside space with a black sharpie. From there I traced and carved out my design onto lino block by using various carving tools. From there, I painted ink on top of the lino block and pressed it as evenly as possible onto the white paper. Throughout the process of stamping them on, I had to occasionally go back and carve out any sections that weren't supposed to show on the print. Once I had at least 4 good prints that met the criteria, I was done.
