Volcano God

Volcano:

Holy Symbols:

  • An Anvil

Aspects:

  • The Eternal Flame of the Mountain: As The Volcano god is still new, he is not worshipped as a pantheon, therefore this is not so much an aspect as much as what he is.

Beliefs:

  • The Volcano god worshippers are craftsmen and builders. To them the creation, destruction and recreation of an object is beautiful. For The Volcano is the ultimate expression of destruction giving way to creation. This is the ideal that they strive for, that strengthens and guides their worship.
  • The Volcano god also stands for purity, for fire is the method of purification. The more pure an object is the greater it is in the eyes of the Volcano god. This is one reason for the rise in Volcano god worshippers in Frisia.

Holy Days:

  • Day of Ascension 30th of January: On this day the Volcano god followers gather in celebration of the ascension of their god to power, they use this day to celebrate some of their finer creations and to marvel at those created by others. This is not a day of selling, the wonders brought together to be shown are often given as tribute to their god (often but not always). Other than this they can be given as gifts to friends and family, it is decreed that none shall sell their creations on this day, for it would tarnish the effort that has gone into them, and render the achievement null and void in the eyes of the Volcano God.

Anathema:

  • The Volcano God hates the impure:
    • Undead
    • Demons
  • Some Worshippers do not like half breeds. They find this impurity to be anathema to their god.
