The Aberddu Adventurer's Guild, or AAG, is the primary driving force behind solving a lot of the world's ills. It is made up of people from all over Urdd, drawn together with the singular goal of becoming adventurers. Whether that be those with noble and heroic intent, a desire to save the world, a need to learn, explore or just a desire to make some quick cash, the guild welcomes everyone, no matter the skill set or real world experience.
Though the Guild is officially run by NPCs, they delegate important duties to the adventurers and trust them to handle themselves for the most part. There are two player elected roles, as detailed below.
Positions within the AAG
AAG Guild Council (OC Ref Positions)
The Guild Council is in command of the AAG and their duties are:
To run the AAG and handle its administration.
To be an impartial judge in order to resolve issues between guild members.
To access and spend guild funds.
To represent the AAG in official business between guilds.
To remove someone from a position in the AAG, as well as remove someone from the AAG after suitable transgressions against the guild.
Guild Captain
(The main purpose of this position is to assist the Refs with OC organising Saturday missions)
The Guild Captain's duties are:
To organise adventurers to go on missions.
To gather information about those missions.
To distribute guild items for use on guild nights and missions.
Guild Captain Proxy
The Guild Captain Proxy's duties are:
To assist the Guild Captain in their duties.
To fulfil the duties of Guild Captain if they are not present.
Functions of the AAG
Voting for Guild Positions
A vote for the positions of Guild Captain and Guild Captain Proxy are held at the start of each term.
The vote is called for and organised by at least one of the Guild Council. A vote can be called if a Guild Position becomes vacant for any reason.
Each member of the AAG present when the vote is called has one vote each.
Whoever has the most votes becomes the Guild Captain.
Whoever has the second most votes becomes the Guild Captain Proxy.
The Guild Vault
The AAG Guild Vault contains magic items and other objects belonging collectively to the guild.
Most items in the Guild Vault are bound to it. One of the Guild Council can summon these items back to the Vault so long as it is on the same plane of existance.
The Vault can only be accessed by Guild Members in Guild Positions. Other Guild Members must request access from one of these members.
The Vault is kept locked at all times.
The Guild Funds
The Guild Funds are in the Bank of Aberddu.
Only the Guild Council can access this fund.
Any guild member has the right to request funds to be spent on resources for missions or other needs of the guild.
