All,
Our next IDEAA (Integrating Data, Enterprise Architecture, and Applications) meeting will be held Tuesday, February 14th, 2023 from 9:30-11:00 am, online.
Here is the agenda:
-- Enterprise Data & Analytics (Rob Howieson, 15-20 min) - Quick updates on the recent Tableau Server upgrade and ongoing efforts with Tableau client license management. Public launch announcement and demonstration of Unify connector for Tableau which allows Tableau access to all of the governed data in the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
-- OIT Integration team (Tim Gagner, 10-15 min) - OIT Integration team will share information about recent API enhancements and new additions to the common API catalog. We will also provide an update regarding the work we are doing to deliver affiliation lists via API response based on what is known today as Person Types.
-- Using Kafka to support NextGen learning (Clem Smith, 15-20 min) - OIT AT Tools will give a talk regarding their use of Kafka to provide service for all of the University's NextGen cohort-based programs. Kafka is used to receive, filter, and enrich Canvas data, and then transmit it to the Student Engagement Platform (SEP). The SEP is the software students use to monitor their program progress, using faculty-defined competencies.
-- Post-Graduation Survey ETL (Colin DeLong & Eric Perrino, 15-20 min) - One of the MPact 2025 metrics is to strengthen career outcomes, and behind that top-level number is a ton of data collected from multiple survey instruments/systems. In this presentation, we’ll walk through the data pipeline, how we’re working with Qualtrics/Salesforce data, and the various steps along the way toward producing the career outcomes rate used in MPact 2025.
