All,
Our next IDEAA (Integrating Data, Enterprise Architecture, and Applications) iCoP meeting will be held Tuesday, June 11th, 2019, from 9:30am to 11:00am, in 110 Tate Hall. Please note the different meeting location!
Here is the agenda:
-- IDEAA meeting topic survey (Colin DeLong; 10-15 min) - It’s been a couple years since we asked the IDEAA community what it wants our meetings to be about, so we felt it time to re-ask this question. To help “set the table”, Colin will review some of the findings from the last survey, what we did to address them, and collect feedback from the group about additional areas of interest. Bring your opinions!
-- OIT integration investments for FY20 (Mark Skweres; 10 min) - OIT’s budget priorities have been set for the year. Mark will discuss the high level plans to procure data replication/streaming and API management tools.
-- Common Dimensions (Amy Schult; 10-15 min) - Amy will provide an update on EDMR’s next slate of common person data elements including personal identifiers and contact information.
-- Common Person implementation update (James Clysdale; 15 min) - OIT and EDMR are working on a new approach to master data management that will use the common data layer to feed the same person information to integrations and the data warehouse. James will give an update on our proof of concept and long term vision for data streaming.
-- Unizin data sharing update (Jeff Webber & Chris Scruton; 15 min) - The Academic Technology Tools and Support services are planning to send some of our academic data to the Unizin data platform to facilitate data analysis across its member universities. This is an effort that blurs the lines between an integration and a data warehousing effort. Chris and Jeff will talk about the goals, security and data governance concerns.
