Personal bio

I’m a Minnesota native, born and raised, with a love of all things outdoors - hiking, long boarding, downhill skiing, ice skating, swimming, you name it. I’m also a big 35mm film fan and I love getting shots of everyday life, from Missouri to Mexico to Maxunseti (small village in the country of Georgia where I lived for a year). In my free time, you’ll probably find me helping out at my church (Creative Church in Maple Grove) - they have all sorts of cool opportunities to serve my Twin Cities community!

Professional bio

Currently I work as a data scientist in United HealthGroup’s Research & Development division (OptumLabs), where I’m a part of a team that pilots and de-risks methods and tech for transforming healthcare delivery. We collaborate with internal partners like OptumCare, OptumRx and United HealthCare, as well as external partners like Boston University, Harvard, and Mayo Clinic. We also run early trials on a bevy of ideas - from the use of VR and a 360-degree treadmill as a therapeutic approach to pooled COVID-19 testing - in our in-house QueryLab. In the past I’ve held roles as a data scientist for General Mills as well as for the Metropolitan Council.
