I am currently a Professor and Director of the School of Statistics Most of my research has centered on Markov chain Monte Carlo and applications in physical, biological, and environmental settings. I am interested in both frequentist and Bayesian theory and methods.

I am a native Floridian, but I’ve lived in Minnesota with my wife and two children since graduating from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) in 2001. Most of the time I would rather be outdoors--backpacking and kayaking in the summer and downhill skiing in the winter.
