PhD Physics

Professional Bio:

I am a second-year student in the Physics PhD program at the University of Minnesota, where I also received my Bachelor's Degree in Physics and a minor in Mathematics. My current research is under Dr. Priscilla Cushman with the SuperCDMS experiment to analyze the incoming data. Prior research experience includes the SBN program at Fermilab, working under Dr. Andrew Fermanski. I generated simulations of the production of cosmic muons in the Short-Baseline Near Detector and analyzed the interaction with the simulated liquid argon chamber. My work helped determine the effects of Rayleigh scattering on the photons emitted during the reaction. I am looking forward to participating in DSMMA, including learning more about data science and the field of Multi-Messenger Astrophysics, as well as collaborating with my colleagues.
