PhD in Physics

I am new to the PhD program so I don't have much of a background of work. I have worked briefly in condensed matter theory and experiment. I find them both agreeable with my interests, but am excited to start learning data science and multi-messenger astrophysics.

Personal Bio

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I hail from the small-ish, almost suburban, almost rural Farmington. I spent my undergrad at both the U of M Duluth and Twin Cities, earning a BS in Mathematics and Physics. I took a year off and came back last fall to earn a PhD in Physics. I am an outgoing, sociable person. I enjoy good communication more than anything, be it over a beer, a heated political discussion, or talk about math and science. My hobbies include weightlifting, playing chess, reading good fiction novels, and learning new languages.
