Professional Bio

I am currently enrolled in the PhD in Statistics program at UMN. I grew up in a small town called Howrah in West Bengal, India. I did my undergrad in Statistics from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata followed by my Masters in Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute where I specialized in Theoretical Statistics. My research interest lies in the field of Computational Statistics and Robust Statistical Methods. Interdisciplinary applications of Statistical methods have always intrigued me which is why I feel extremely lucky to be a part of the DSMMA program and hope to bring my statistical knowledge to good use.

Personal Bio

I'm not really an outdoorsy guy unless it comes to meeting a dog or a cat. I love pets and I have a pug myself. My hobbies include reading books, cooking and playing sudoku. Have taken up learning French as a new hobby et c'est moi!
