Ana Uribe

MS in Computer Science

I was born in Mexico, and moved to Washington State during elementary school. I received my undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Western Washington University, where I was part of the Computer Science/Math Scholars Program. My work experience includes working for a non-profit serving migrant farm workers, and for a dual language immersion school.

I will be starting my MS in Computer Science at UMN Fall 2022, and am interested in Machine Learning and data mining, as well as CS’s role in social justice and climate change solutions. I am looking forward to learning about and working in the field of Multi-Messenger Astrophysics, and the interdisciplinary collaboration in the DSMMA program.
