Haowen Zhong

PhD in Physics

I’m Haowen Zhong, a first-year PhD student in physics working with Prof. Vuk Mandic. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2021.

I can still remember that, even in my childhood, the universe was one of the most fascinating and attractive things for me. Therefore, I chose to study physics trying to understand the underlying laws controlling this amazing world. Now I’m focusing on the work about data analysis for the third generation GW detectors like Cosmic Explorer preparing for the future detection. I also feel pretty excited to have this opportunity to study multi-messenger astronomy by collaborating with people having different backgrounds to combine our knowledge in different disciplines.
