Personal Bio

I am a first-year student in the MS in Data Science program. I am also pursuing Data Science in Multi Messenger Astrophysics as it will expand my breadth of knowledge and expose me to new and exciting learning opportunities. My hobbies include taking walks, watching anime, and cooking. I am also interested in different cultures and enjoy learning about their language and history. My goal in this program is to gain an intermediate level of astrophysics knowledge in order to have the opportunity to pursue a career in this field.

Professional Bio

I am a first-year student in the MS in Data Science and Multi Messenger Astrophysics NRT program. I graduated from the University of Minnesota in the spring of 2020 with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and a minor in computer science. Since June, I have been working full-time at Medtronic as a Software Engineer on the Data Warehouse and Analytic Services team. This role exposed me to working with very large databases and developing data reports. My goals in these programs are to gain an intermediate level of astrophysics knowledge, develop data science skills and techniques, and increase my theoretical foundation.
