Spaghetti Napoletana

Equipment

  • Large Pot

  • Medium saucepan

  • Wooden spoon

  • Colander


Ingredients

  • 1 onion

  • Garlic (1 glove)

  • Tomato sauce (1 canned tomato )

  • Spaghetti (120g per person)

  • Herbs

  • Oregano

  • Fresh Basil

  • Olive oil ( 1 table spoon)

  • Parmesan cheese (1 spoon full per person)


Recipe

  1. Fill the pot with water and add a bit of salt.

  2. Boil the water.

  3. Once the water is fully bowled proceed to add the spaghetti.

  4. While the water is bowling which should take around 12 minutes start making your sauce.

  5. To make the sauce put two tablespoons of oil then start chopping up one onion and a clove of garlic. Then add to oil and brown.

  6. Then add a can of tomatoes and herbs and basil and oregano and salt and pepper to the sauce and a bit of water and let it cook.

  7. After the sauce and spaghetti is done strain the pasta to remove the water.

  8. Put the spaghetti back into the saucepan and add the sauce and stir.

  9. Once this is done serve the spaghetti in individual plates and add some extra sauce if you prefer and sprinkle some parmesan cheese to serve.
