Egyptian Goulash

Ingredients Equipment

1Kg of mince meat Saucepan

Salt and pepper Oven-tray

1 onion Cup

1 egg Oven

Puff pastry sheets Stove

½ cup of milk

Nutmeg

Olive oil



Recipe

  1. Pour a cap of olive oil onto a hot saucepan.

  2. Add chopped onion and saute on medium-high heat.

  3. Add mince meat, salt and pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg.

  4. Stir meat until thoroughly cooked

  5. Place puff pastry onto a greased oven tray then place mince evenly onto the pastry.

  6. Add another layer of puff pastry on top of the meat.

  7. Place in a preheated oven of 1800C for 15 minutes.

  8. meanwhile, crack 1 egg into half a glass of milk and beat well.

  9. Pour over pastry after 15-minute timer place pastry into the oven for another 25 or minutes until golden brown.

  10. Serve hot for 6 - 8 people.
